  • Match Your Gift! Double your donation by filling out the form that will enable your company to match your gift. Ask your employer about the matching gift program.

  • Give a Memorial Gift! Remember a loved one, friend or associate by establishing a memorial tribute that will live on in the name of the deceased.

The family of the person in whose name the gift is made will be notified of your thoughtfulness by means of a card. The amount of your gift will not be included, but you will receive a separate acknowledgement by letter for your own use as a benefactor.

If you establish a memorial tribute in lieu of flowers, you can instruct the funeral director to include the following phrase in the obituary notice:

"The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made payable to the African American Success Foundation for the (deceased's name) Memorial Tribute, 7027 West Broward Boulevard, #313, Fort Lauderdale, FL   33317."

The bereaved family may also place the following notice in church bulletins and newspapers:

"As a tribute to (deceased's name) memorial gifts may be sent to the African American Success Foundation, 7027 West Broward Boulevard, #313, Fort Lauderdale, FL  33317."

  • Give an Honor Gift! In lieu of a material gift, honor a loved one, friend or associate by establishing a tribute in his or her name. For example, this can be done when you want to give thanks for the person's recovery from a serious illness or accident, to celebrate a special anniversary or birthday, or when you want to show particular recognition for a noteworthy achievement.

The person in whose name the gift is made will be notified of your thoughtfulness by means of a card. The amount of your gift will not be included, but you will receive a separate acknowledgement by letter for your own use as a benefactor.

  • Leave a Planned Gift! Include the African American Success Foundation in your will. AASF is here to stay. We are all about success and your bequest can help us continue our work in your name in the future, while providing estate tax benefits for your family too.

A simple addition to your will that states "I give the sum of ($ amount) dollars to the African American Success Foundation for such purposes as its Board of Directors shall determine" is all it takes. Your attorney can give you more information about why this is beneficial for you, as well as helpful to the African American Success Foundation.
