Legendary Jazz Saxophonist Lou Donaldson visited Christopher Dorsey's Jazz Band Class at Dillard High School. Mr. Donaldson sat in with the band playing such hits as Satin Doll and Fly Me to the Moon. Mr. Donaldson as been playing saxophone professionally for more than 50 years, playing with such Jazz greats Thelonius Monk and Art Blakey. The students spent over an hour learning the fine art of playing Jazz, learning secrets and hearing stories of the golden age of Jazz.
