                   Pauline W. Garrett

Pauline is a retired Cardiac Sonographer, a political activist working on the Obama campaign, a volunteer with the African American Research and Cultural Center, the Old Dillard Museum, various social groups, and traveler when time permits. A truly, re- tired individual!

Pauline worked in management at well known medical institutions, such as the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, Boca Raton Community Hospital and the Mayo Clinic. During her tenure at these facilities, she met and performed procedures on entertainers as well as United States Presidents.

Pauline is the proud mother of a thirty five year old daughter, who has chosen to follow her mother’s career choice of cardiac sonography. Nikki Garrett gives Pauline good reason to travel to Palm Springs, CA. for frequent visits.

Pauline’s former education started at Lincoln University in Missouri and ended at the University of Texas in San Antonio. She grew up in Memphis, TN., but admits South Florida is where she has lived the longest and where her heart resides.

No one can accuse Pauline of not having a full life. In addition to her career, motherhood, activism, volunteerism and travels, her true love is Africa and studying ancient African history. Her first trip to Africa, the Nile Valley, and her last trip to Africa, Ghana, has solidified her love of Africa and her goal of helping African Americans achieve success
