AASF Board of Directors Special Recognition Grant

Ms. Karida Brown was awarded a Special Recognition Grant by the African Americcan Success Foundation Board of Directors while a doctoral candidate in Sociology in the Department of Sociology at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island in support of her study titled: Wanting to be Remembered: The Lynch Colored Public School, 1923-1963, focusing on “..the generation of men and women that have come from… (the coalfields of eastern Kentucky who have) …achieved incredible success, despite their humble beginnings and the tumultuous racial climate in America at that time.

Unfortunately, AASF has not received information about the results of this research.
